Greetings, miniature fans.

I was going to write a post this morning about Catch the Snitch , Knight Models crowdfunding to launch a board game and miniatures of Quidditch , the sports game between wizards from the Harry Potter universe . But…

But I was disappointed. Due to the unstable climate in the United States, Knight Models have decided to postpone the campaign. It’s a shame, because they already had $ 50,000 (a figure that is very good), and the product promised (€ 100, closed game with 4 teams).

This is the official statement .

Dear sponsors,

The current situation of uncertainty in the world derived from the electoral campaign in the United States is negatively affecting our Kickstarter. It is generating many technical problems on the web and freezing our communication strategy plan.

All social networks and platforms have considerably less traffic, which has a very negative impact on advertising campaigns. This implies that they do not have the scope that they would have in a normal situation.

We understand the concern and anxiety this is causing among the American people and we stand in solidarity with them.

For this reason, we think it is best to postpone the KS campaign until next Thursday, November 12 (11-12-20) so that we can reach all of you and offer the best products with fluid communication and without interference.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we will compensate you all for it. For starters, we will include the Harry Potter figure in the Core Box. But we will still have several more surprises to show you next week.

We reiterate our apologies, but the gravity of the current situation forces us to take this hiatus in order to come out with a stronger start and bring the Harry Potter universe closer to all of you, which is the meaning of our efforts.

Sincerely yours,
Knight Games Team

The only thing I can say is that it is a good gesture from Knight Models and that I hope that the situation in the USA calms down, not only because of this crowdfunding but because of all the consequences that could arise.
